Yup, it is enough without extra sugar. I think anymore and it would be too sticky sweet.
Sqeezing all of the limes is annoying because there isn't much juice per lime. I have done it once or twice like that but don't see a huge difference in taste for the net increase in work.
I once did a variation using lemon juice to try to mimic lemon meringue pie, as this method was easier, but I didn't like it as much. Not lemony enough.
