I totally missed you posting this somehow... Anyway, why buy infused oil when its so easy to make? Just loosely pack your chosen herb into a jar and pour over your chosen oil to fill jar (olive is the best as it rarely oxidises). Leave in a warm place for a few weeks. Pack a new jar with some new herbs (the same type, just new) and pour the oil from the first jar into it. Again, leave for a few weeks. When oil is ready (smell it to find out-should be strongly scented), transfer to a bottle, possibly with a sprig or two of new herb for identification/decoration. Obviously, all jars, bottles etc should be sterile and properly stoppered. All herbs should be fresh and organic. The same can be done with various vinegars. If more exact recipes are required, let me know. That was off the top of my head. Which is such an odd phrase.
Yes, I have contemplated making these. When I saw the oil at the store it was so pretty I couldn't pass on it. I think I made a vinegar many years ago. Thanks for the offer. I will see how my basil does, or the oregano in my garden and then maybe make some.
